The Lord has really blessed me by paying my tuition for seminary through the use of my remaining Montgomery GI Bill and Post 9-11 benefits from my time in the US Army military service. And then, as soon as that all ran out (near the end of my first semester), I was selected to receive 100% tuition for 87 credits (the full Master of Divinity program) through George W Truett’s competitive scholarship! I started using these funds this summer 2021 and I SAW THE PAYMENT GO THROUGH AS PAID BY TRUETT!!! (Yes, I had to see it processed to believe it!) Thank you, thank you God for providing for me and for my family through this scholarship. Every time I work on my classwork, I am reminded of the external validation that God gave me through the selection of this scholarship that He has a plan for my life and that others can see it too. I work hard in my studies knowing that generous donors helped to pave my way to be here in this moment. THANK YOU LORD! And THANK YOU to those who donate funds for scholarships like the one I have received. You may not know me personally, but you have impacted my life through your donations. Thank you!! Here is a THANK YOU video I made, created even before I was selected for this 100% scholarship because Truett offers ALL MDiv and MACM students a 50% SCHOLARSHIP and BGCT contributes funds as well for Baptist Students! As of July 2021, I covet your PRAYERS for direction and patience as I pursue formal ministry experiences. It seems limiting for me to have all these gifts, a strong desire to serve, and be trained for service through seminary yet not able to pour out and use what I am learning in formal ministry – as a woman within the context of a local church. If you know me, you know that I am passionate about DISCIPLESHIP and APPLYING THE TRUTH OF GOD IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE. It has been challenging going through this process but I know the Lord has a plan for me that gives Him all the glory as I come alongside God encouraging others as I get opportunity.
