songs and prayers July 2020

I haven’t played the guitar in 2 months but Monday I picked it up and then Monday night had a surprise guest and we played guitar and sang songs together…❤️. I haven’t played in so long because I’ve been helping with the prayer team vs the worship team since our church opened back up (with masks and other precautions) at the end of May due to #covid19. Also, to tell you the whole truth I didn’t want to hear my regular list of worship songs during a time where I knew that just wasn’t enough for all that was happening for me and the world at that time. But it was okay to take a break from that for a while. My son asked me if I was going “through a phase” 😜 because I’ve been listening to a lot of Christian rap… “Maybe I am. I was tired of my old songs.” Well… I wanted to play for you today. It’s almost 1am here so I can’t belt it out like I’d normally would but somehow I’ve found myself back to the “regular” worship songs (probably because that’s all I can play on the guitar 🤣 and…) Because I just like these song lyrics.

I hope you enjoy this 3 song set.

Is He Worthy” by Chris Tomlin. Several weeks ago I heard you recommend it Lisa and so I had it in my playlist and I do enjoy this song. Especially after reading Revelation with the kids and talking about the scrolls recently….

Nothing Else” by Cody Carnes is THE song that God used to remind me of what was truly important in Cambodia when we had an issue occur on day 1 of our youth missions trip. I talked about it; it’s in my blog here (full uncut interview) explaining what happened.

Great Are You Lord” by All Sons and Daughters. I might not do it if it gets too too late. Also I can get carried away on this song (right Kim? 😍) and I shouldn’t be so loud at this time of morning. 😁 One time one time… We’ll see. Let’s do this!

I hope this blesses you to continue staying connected to God even if it looks different than it did before and you’re going through a ‘metamorphosis’ of sorts … my life (and YOUR life) is in the Lord’s hands so … there’s ‘nothing else’! (did you get it?- the song title??) haha sometimes we gotta laugh… Okay, have a good one! Would love to know how you are doing and what you thought about the worship set. Thanks,

Sejana

This is amazing! I just heard someone the other day talking about metamorphosis. He reminded me that the caterpillar morphs into the butterfly. God bless you!

Hi Diane! Good to hear from you, thanks for checking this out (you may have noticed I haven’t posted in quite a while! I post more frequently on FB and IG though.) Yes! I have a shirt with a butterfly and the https://my.bible.com/bible/59/2CO.5.17.ESV reference! 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV
