Bible time & Worship Episode 16 – Worship

I hesitated coming on to continue this series with all the great resources available to the public now (my email inbox is filled with messages about the Coronavirus)! However, here we are for episode 16. Thank you for joining in. Please share with me what you are praying about and how you are doing. I am in prayer for FOSTER CARE FAMILIES, grandparents who care for children, single parents that need to arrange for childcare while schools are closed and even teachers here as we continue our 4th week of online schooling. Some teachers here also have children in school and they have been juggling work (online teaching others), teaching and redirecting their own children, as well as trying to make the most of this time together at home. My children have had different reactions to their new schedules and it varies day by day with how they are doing based on their personalities. I pray that this time would be a time that God would be glorified regardless of whatever is currently going on in our lives. I pray that my children and others would develop their own personal relationships with God during this time but I know I can’t expect from them what I don’t even do myself. So I am working on my own personal relationship with God too during this time. I am thankful for my husband and other leaders around the world that are doing the best they can in their own circles of influence. I pray that we would all recognize our need for you Lord and that we as your people must not only care for our own interests but that we would have eyes to see what you are doing all around us and join you in it. Thank you Jesus. (Download the attached lyric sheet and worship along with us starting at about 17 minutes in.)

I pray this time is encouraging to you.
Thank you for joining us again on FB live!

I mentioned our short time in Foster Care– this is one blog about that time https://sejanashines.com/2018/06/06/it-must-be-hard-raising-kids/.

I also mentioned learning how to play guitar in order to be able to lead worship – this is one blog about using guitar in worship at home https://sejanashines.com/2019/01/01/opening-your-home-and-impromptu-home-worship/.

BIBLE PASSAGE:

Ephesians 6:1-20

‘Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Bondservants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free. Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. ‘ Ephesians 6:1-20 https://my.bible.com/bible/59/EPH.6.1-20

Thank you SO MUCH for joining in and praying for us and others around the world. I pray this time encourages you to dig into your Bibles and to seek #truth and the understanding that comes from the Lord. This starts our first day of our 4th week of “no school at school” as everyone continues to go to school online to minimize group gatherings and help prevent the spread of the #coronavirus here in #Daegu, South Korea. I am thankful for our local leadership’s efforts. I am in prayer as I see the news of the spread around the world. I will continue this “Bible Time & Worship” online ministry as long as God gives me the ‘go’ to be used in this way. If so, I plan to be on at noon (Daegu time) via FB every Monday – Friday. Remember, God is able and #Godisbiggerthanxyz (any situation we may be facing); In HIM we continue to place our hope. Sincerely, Sejana
