“Join Pastor Sejana Yoo as she delivers an inspiring sermon titled ‘What Are You Looking At?’ (from Matthew 7:1-6). “In this sermon, Sejana emphasizes the importance of self-reflection and understanding one’s own flaws before judging others. She shares a personal story about the observation of church leaders, highlighting how unaddressed issues with humans can impact one’s relationship with God. Through scripture and personal anecdotes, Sejana encourages the congregation to focus on their own spiritual growth first and participate in a community of forgiveness with one another.” “May God keep forming us into a community of forgiveness that makes the confessions possible.” – Lead Pastor of Impact Temple Church, Roy Rhodes.
I preached this sermon as a continuation in our sermon series called “The King’s Speech” (aka ‘the Sermon on the Mount’) for my home church were I serve as the Connections Pastor. Impact Temple Church, located in Temple, Texas, is about an hour north of Austin and 2 hours south of Dallas/Fort Worth.
Tune in below to watch a recording of the sermon (or podcast) and scroll down even further to watch my ‘After Sermon Preaching Tips‘ video where I’m keeping up my routine of sharing a few thoughts after I preach (right before I walk back into my home from my car!).

Matthew 7:1-6 (NIV)
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
