Hello! Yes, I’m safely back home from my 5+ weeks on the Texas/Mexico border as an intern with Fellowship Southwest. You might have seen my social media announcement below that updated you all that I did indeed make it home. Thank you for praying for me and for us during our time away. I’ll never really know how much your prayers mattered; but I do know that absolutely it did. There was a lot that went on every single day.

I thank God, my family, Fellowship Southwest, the church and ministry where I served (Golan Ministries and Iglesia Bautista West Brownsville) Pastor Navarro, George, and so many others for a wonderful learning and serving experience in Brownsville, Texas.

The number one question I’ve been asked since I’ve returned is “What was it like?!?!?!” I’d love to answer that for you! But also, I know that these topics are sensitive for many of us and highly debated these days. I appreciate several of you who have been honest with me about some of your concerns about the things going on at the border. This was absolutely why I personally applied to go. I wanted to see for myself. I prayed that God would show me what I needed to see. I have come back satisfied with my experience, but it is certainly not over. A part of what’s next is continuing to reflect and to share with you.

So, since I’m back, I’d like to offer a few opportunities to share in some private one-on-one conversations about my experiences at the border and to hear your questions/concerns. I WILL be doing a larger talk at a later date, but for now, we can help one another continue to prayerfully reflect on what’s happening at the border and with the people who migrate to the United States.
